ABOUT: Monte del Frà (meaning ‘land of the monks’) gets its name from the late 15th century, when a group of Friars formed a monastery on the land. Some hundred years later, the friars leased 25 hectares for the cultivation of vineyards and fruit trees.

It’s now in the very capable hands of the Bonomo family who are working towards totally sustainable agriculture on their picturesque land bordering the Venetian alps on the South East of Lake Garda.

The grapes were harvested from the hills of Sommacampagna around 100-150m above sea level. A slow fermentation took place in steel vats after a brief pre-fermentative cold maceration. This is a truly refreshing, fruit forward wine that is exceptionally good for warmer weather drinking.
